I have only been using this for a few days and have already noticed dry patches on my skin, and particularly around my nose, have finally gone. All without causing my skin to become oily or breakout.

There doesn’t appear to be any scent or colouring to this serum and it works great with the rest of my skincare and makeup products.

The consistency of this serum makes it so easy to apply to the skin and it soaks into the skin nicely. If you use a little too much (like I sometimes do) it does take a little longer for the tacky feeling to settle down.

The NIVEA Luminous630 Daily Liquid Exfoliant has an acidic smell to it, the texture is more like a serum and it applies to the skin nicely but if you have any spots or breakouts it can sting a little.

The NIVEA Luminous630 Instant Glow Serum is a bit more watery compared to the Daily Liquid Exfoliant, has a pink / purple tinge to it and has a pleasant smell. The serum applies well to the skin and does not cause any stinging or irritation.

The NIVEA Luminous Skin Glow skincare bundle works brilliantly if you are concerned about blemish-prone skin, hyperpigmentation or dark spots. Both products soak into the skin nicely without leaving any horrible residue and works great with the rest of my skincare and makeup routine.

I would definitely recommend this NIVEA Luminous Skin Glow skincare duo.

An Honest Review of the Native Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner Set

The Native hair shampoo and moisturising conditioner duo delivers exactly what it promises – simple, clean and effective – nothing more, nothing less. And in this review I explain how I have come to this conclusion.

Initial Impressions

The first thing I noticed about the Native shampoo and conditioner is the gorgeous scent of creamy coconut and a hint of sweet vanilla. The smell isn’t overpowering but really does take you back to tropical holidays.

The packaging of this hair set looks very clean, and the large size of the bottles mean they will last a good while.

Only downside, the pump dispensers. They did not want to work, no matter how hard I tried, they would not open which made washing my hair messy and a real faff!

Native Hair Shampoo

This is Natives moisturising shampoo. It has been developed to give hair the moisture it craves using a sulfate-free formula. Delivering nourishment, softness and shine, and doesn’t strip hair of it’s natural oils.

After just the first use, this shampoo lathered up instantly and was easy to rinse out. Hair was left feeling soft and clean, without that squeaky clean feeling.

Native Hair Conditioner

Again, this conditioner is from the Native moisturising hair range. It has been developed to help strengthen and nourish each strand of hair using a weightless, silicone-free formula.

The consistency of this conditioner isn’t as thick as other conditioners I’ve used in the past but still coats the hair well and once rinsed off, leaves hair feeling very soft without weighing it down.

Final Conclusion

I absolutely love the scent of this Coconut & Vanilla shampoo and conditioner set, the smell is divine.

I also love how Native embodies the whole clean and simple ethos by using naturally derived ingredients and sustainable packaging. It’s just a shame that the pump dispensers wouldn’t open up as it did make washing my hair a little stressful, and wasteful.

Overall, this Native shampoo and conditioner duo did leave my hair feeling clean and very soft to touch but also left my hair looking frizzy. I guess the usual ingredients that would tame frizz wouldn’t be considered ‘clean ingredients’!?

I have always gone for the full coverage, matte finish foundations but unfortunately, these types of foundations aren’t always ideal for my skin type, as they can settle into fine lines and highlight my uneven skin texture. All MÁDARA products are free from ingredient such as parabens, silicones and mineral oils. Instead, MÁDARA have developed a range of beauty products that help to improve the condition of skin through the use of natural sources to deliver the highest concentrations of essential nutrients.

Benefits of the MÁDARA Foundation

When foundation meets skincare you know you are on to a winner, and the MÁDARA Skin Equal Soft Glow Foundation is no exception. This foundation gives medium buildable coverage and seamlessly evens out skin tone. It also protects skin with SPF20, helping to prevent sun damage.

This foundation contains some amazing skin-loving ingredients, such as:

How to Apply the Foundation

Once skin has been prepped with a good skincare routine, the MÁDARA Skin Equal Soft Glow Foundation can then be applied to the skin using fingers, a foundation brush or sponge, whichever application best suites you. I personally prefer using my fingers.

Starting from the centre of the face, blend the foundation outwards creating a seamless finish.

If you require more coverage, then apply light layers in areas where it is needed and blend out.

Final Verdict

The MÁDARA Skin Equal Soft Glow Foundation has really changed my mind about needing a foundation that gives full coverage and a matte finish, as it has highlighted the benefit of medium coverage with a hydrating, dewy glow.

This foundation is lightweight and applies to the skin nicely using fingers. The coverage is very good, even in areas where I have blemishes. I have to admit, I didn’t build-up the foundation as I was happy with the finish it provided with just one layer.

The wear time on this foundation is great. After 8-hours in the office, there has been no cakiness or separation, and the foundation doesn’t appear to have settled into those fine lines.

The only very minor / super picky criticism I have, is that I wish the sun protection factor was higher but from what I understand, this would change the consistency of a foundation and how well it blends.

An Honest Review of the Native Body Wash That Promises a Clean, Simple & Effective Shower Routine

I shower daily so having a body wash that doesn’t dry my skin out is very important to me, and with the Native Body Wash, it doesn’t contain any harsh sulfates that would otherwise strip my skins natural oils and disrupt my skins barrier. So here’s my honest review of a bodycare product that promises a clean, simple and effective shower routine.

Who is Native

Native is a hair and beauty brand from the USA who are focused on providing products that are clean, simple and effective. Their product range includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, toothpaste and deodorant which are all made with naturally derived ingredients.

Native Body Wash

Native have just over 20 different body wash scents and for this review I was gifted the Coconut & Vanilla scent. These body washes are great for those with sensitive skin as they do not contain sulfates, parabens or dyes.

First Impressions

Upon opening my parcel from Native, I could instantly smell the creamy, sweet fragrance of coconut and vanilla. It smells absolutely divine.

Packaging

The body wash comes in a large bottle (532ml), so enoughto keep you going for sometime. The packaging design is very clean and simple, and I love the explanation of the ingredients on the back of the bottle.

According to the Native website, their packaging is plastic free but may not meet all degradable standards. So they do advise on checking with the local council to verify if these bottles are currently compostable or biodegradable.

So what does a Native body wash promise?

My Final Thoughts

The Coconut & Vanilla body wash smells absolutely gorgeous. It is a subtle scent of creamy coconut with a sweet hint of vanilla that doesn’t overwhelm.

The body wash itself lathers up nicely and you don’t actaully need to use too much of it either – so that big bottle really does last. Once rinsed off, skin is left feeling clean and very soft, even with daily use.
