Honest Review

Self tanning drops are absolutely amazing, but the only problem is when you stop using them. Like most self tan products, they wear off patchy, and that’s just not a good look on your face!

Whereas, with the Whind Instant Glow Tinting Water, these give you the natural, sun-kissed glow that lasts the whole day, and there’s no worries of patchy tan marks when you decide to stop using them.

Packaging for this Tinting Water looks authentic and really does help to represent that this is a brand inspired by native Morocco. The smell of this Whind Marrakech Sun Instant Glow Tinting Water is absolutely lovely. It smells so authentic and natural and isn’t at all over-whelming.

I prefer to apply these drops directly to my skin after moisturising, but you can mix them with face oils, serum, and moisturisers. It is so easy to apply and distributes really well. It settles on the skin nice, and there is no greasy or sticky feeling left on the skin.

I LOVE this Instant Glow Tinting Water and have been using it every day in place of my usual foundation as it gives such a natural, gorgeous tanned glow that lasts so well through the day.

Highly recommended, and I have nothing bad to say about the Whind Marrakech Sun Instant Glow Tinting Water.

How to Use

Gently exfoliate the skin the morning or evening before applying. Then, using a tanning mitt, apply the foam in circular motions to the skin and wash off 4 – 6 hours later.

Review of the Bare By Vogue Self Tan Foam

I thought I knew what my favourite brand of self tan was, that was until Bare By Vogue came along!

On first impressions, I saw the wording “DARK” on the bottle and was worried that this was going to be too dark for my lilly white skin. In actual fact, the colour couldn’t have been more perfect and natural looking.

The tanning foam was super simple to apply to the skin, and there was a hint of coconut. Once washed off 6 hours later, there was absolutely no smell from this self tan what so ever which personally, that’s great.

The colour that was left on my skin looked so natural and even. There were no streaks or patchiness, and I am a complete amateur when it comes to applying self-tan.

I love this self-tan foam, and this has now become my new favourite!

Jimmy Coco Sunless Tanning Products

Over the last few months, I have really been getting into self-tanning products. They are an excellent way to get a nice tan without damaging your skin. So, receiving Jimmy Coco sunless tanning products from BeautyBuddy was a FAB!

What’s in the Box?

My sunless tanning box contained instructions of use and the following Jimmy Coco products:

  • ID1 Tan Extender Clear Souffle Face & Body
  • ID4 Tinted Tan Souffle Medium Face & Body
  • Buff & Glow™ 3-in-1 Tanning Mitt.

Who is Jimmy Coco

Jimmy Coco started off in 2004 by providing a mobile spray tanning service, which quickly led to him working with A-List celebrities. He then went on to develop the 5 shades of Coco sunless tanning range, otherwise known as Coco ID. The idea behind the Coco ID range was that each person would have a sunless tanning product that is perfect for their own skin tone and wants.

Initial Thoughts

Firstly, the packaging, the contrast of the gold against the dark blue on the bottles, and mitt really does make the products stand out and look premium.

The tanning mitt is unique, I don’t think I’ve seen one like it before! Combining 3 types of mitts into one is a brilliant idea, especially for someone like me, who is always losing things – less for me to lose!

The scent from ID4 was gorgeous. I probably looked like a mad woman constantly sniffing my arm, but ID4 really did smell like a good quality perfume. I wasn’t as fussed on ID1 as it was more of a citrusy smell.

Another observation is that Jimmy Coco products carry the ‘Made in Britain’ mark. This means that their products are manufactured in Great Britain and that they should meet strict criteria to guarantee that these products are manufactured to the highest standards. Very reassuring!

How to Use

I followed the set of instructions sent by BeautyBuddy which was basically to: dry exfoliate; shower and dry off; dry exfoliate any areas of residue; apply small amount of moisturiser to feet, knees, hands and elbows; apply ID4 to skin and leave for 8-12 hours; and then rinse off! ID1 was pretty much the same set of instructions, minus the initial dry exfoliating!

Final Verdict

Souffle ID4 = brilliant, amazing, perfect! This souffle was so easy to apply, I could see where it was and wasn’t applied, it soaked into my skin really well and smelled absolutely gorgeous. After rinsing the self-tan off, the colour looked very natural and wasn’t too dark for my skin, which was something I was worried about. The colour lasted for about 4 or 5 days before it started to fade but wasn’t at all streaky or patchy.

Once Souffle ID4 started to fade, I used Souffle ID1, a tan extender, but unfortunately, I couldn’t really see any difference! Although, next time I might use the ID1 souffle daily rather than once the self-tan starts to fade, as the Jimmy Coco website does say that you can use ID1 souffle as “daily hydration with extra glow benefits”!

Again, I really liked the idea behind the 3-in-1 tanning mitt but did occasionally find myself rubbing the exfoliating side of the mitt on areas where I had just applied the tanner. Despite accidentally doing this, luckily, I don’t think it rubbed off any product.

Skinny Tan: The Perfect Together Bundle

The Perfect Together Bundle was gifted to me by Skinny Tan as part of their social club. This bundle consists of their ‘1 Day Tanner‘ and ‘Body Buffing Brush’.

What is it?

The ‘1 Day Tanner’ is perfect for those last-minute plans or for those times that you just want that nice tanned glow for a day. And the Skinny Tan Body Buffing Brush is the perfect accessory for buffing those elbows and knees and for finishing off your look.

How to Use

In the morning, I applied the ‘1 Day Tanner’ to my Skinny Tan Velvet Tanning Mitt and rubbed the product evenly into my skin. I then used the Skinny Tan Buffing Brush to buff my knees, as this is one area that always looks odd!

Final Verdict

The Skinny Tan ‘1 Day Tanner’ was super easy to apply, and the Velvet Tanning Mitt and Body Buffing Brush made the whole process that much easier.

Application on my legs was flawless, especially my knees. The tanned colour was gorgeous – a bit dark to just do my legs, so it would be a whole body thing going forward – unless I could tone it down with body moisturiser!?

The ‘1 Day Tanner’ was also super easy to wash off at the end of the day. Simply wash using your own body wash, no scrubed or exfoliating nesecery!

Brush with Multi-Use

Also, I was asked about using the Body Buffing Brush to apply foundation. So I gave it a go, and I have to say that it makes a good foundation brush. It was really quick and easy to apply my foundation, blending really well. The results looked better than using my usual brushes and blenders.
