If you are looking for a matte finish foundation that gives great coverage and lasts the day, then the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation is one that is worth considering.

The Mattifying Foundation

The Beautifully Matte Foundation from No7 is a full coverage, matte finish foundation that contains a blend of fine oil-absorbing powders that helps to control oil and mattifies the skin – blurring the appearance of pores, imperfections and blemishes.

This foundation contains SPF15 and has been developed to give up to 16 hours of wear time, without that powdery flatness.

It is also suitable for those with more sensitive skin.

No7 Packaging

This No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation comes in a recyclable glass bottle and unlike other foundations I’ve tried in the past, this one uses a flexible spatula device to dispense the foundation. This spatula apparently makes it easier to get more foundation from the bottle, avoiding any clogged pumps.

My Honest Review

Full coverage, matte finish foundations have always been the type of foundation I tend to go for but finding one that doesn’t look thick or cakey can be difficult until I tried the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation.

This foundation applies nicely to the skin, is easy to blend, and does well to cover most blemishes. It sits well on top of the skin, doesn’t look thick or cakey and didn’t separate throughout the day.

The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the spatula for dispensing the foundation, but then that’s just my personal preference as I’d rather have a pump.

As always, I would love it if the SPF was higher but I do understand that this would change the foundations texture / formula.

Overall, this is a great full coverage, matte finish foundation that doesn’t feel or look heavy and that lasted well throughthe day.
