Some of us may have heard the term ‘glass-like skin’, but how about glass-like hair! Well, Redken has come out with a range of hair products that apparently give you exactly that – glass-like hair!

Packaging

I have been sent miniature travel sized versions of the Redken Acidic Color Gloss Sulphate-Free Shampoo, Activated Glass Gloss Treatment, Conditioner and Heat Protectant Treatment. These are all packaged in black bottles with an eye-catching metallic pink label.

There is an open jar symbol on the back of the shampoo, conditioner, and gloss, which indicates how long the product will stay good after it has been opened. The shampoo and conditioner show 12M, meaning that they will be good to use for 12 months, and the gloss shows 18M, so it will be good for 18 months. There was nothing showing for the heat protectant spray.

Ingredients

Some of the main ingredients contained within all of these hair products include:

• Vitamin E: Helps to repair damaged hair, improving elasticity and shine.
• Arginine: Strengthens hair and protects it against damage.
• Serine: Provides intense conditioning to help strengthen hair.
• Glutamic Acid: Helps to promote hair growth.

How to Use

Apply the shampoo to wet hair, lather, and rinse. Apply the Glass Gloss Treatment to towel-dried hair and leave for 5-10 minutes. Layer on top the conditioner and leave for a few minutes, then rinse. Finally, apply the heat protection spray to clean, damp hair and style!

Hair looks smooth and shiney

These products were nice to use and definitely left my hair looking smooth and shiney, but I’m not sure about the ‘glass-like shine’!

Once I started blow drying my hair, my hair did feel a bit heavy, but once my hair was thoroughly dry, my hair felt very nice and lightweight. My hair wasn’t at all weighed down by product, and even on the second day, my hair was still looking as good as day one.

The only thing I am never too keen on is heat protection sprays. My personal preference is to use a heat protection serum as I am never sure about where I am spraying and if I am getting enough coverage.
