As a new SkinSense Affiliate, I chose to try out their lip plumping cream, but it turned out that I had unrealistic expectations that no topical ointment could ever really achieve!

About the Cream

Using innovative lamellar technology to help the cream pentrate and effectively interact with the skin, this lip plumping cream is not only designed to restore volume, plumping out those fine lines around the mouth, but also intensively moisturises the lips for all day softness.

Initial Thoughts

Red is one colour that I really like, so the presentation box that it came in looked great. I also really liked the design of the tube itself – it was slimline, so it would easily fit in a washbag or handbag, and I love the white pearlescent colour of the tube. The dispenser looked unquie and an ideal design to easily get the right amount of cream.

How to Use?

Apply a very small amount of the cream to your finger and gentle pat onto your lips, as well as just over the lip line.

After a few seconds, you will feel a slight tingling sensation, which I assume is an indication that the cream is working!

Final Verdict

Whenever I used to think of lip plumping creams, oils, balms, etc., I always imagined lusciously plumped lips, but I don’t think there are any topical ointments out there that would actually achieve this!

The SkinSense lip plumping cream is definitely good for plumping out those fine lip lines, and I expect that over a longer period and regular use, it would give amazing results for reducing these lines. It also did a great job of moisturising my lips.

The only downside I found was with how the lip cream was dispensed. I found it difficult to dispense the cream from the spout, but when stored upside down, the cream dispensed fine – not ideal if you’d usually store it in a bag!

Overall, the cream does exactly what it claims to do, but maybe a rethink on the design!
