I received these Bellissima Italia Creative Infrared Hair Straighteners for free from Influenster and Bellissima Italia in exchange for my honest review.

What’s the USP?

These hair straighteners from Bellissima Italia have two main features:

• infrared technology that facilities the penetration of heat with maximum respect for your hair and;
• ceramic and keratin care that promotes protection, giving instant vitality to silky, radiant and elastic hair.

Initial Thoughts

The box that these straighteners came in looks very smart and sleek. I also liked the little tips noted around the outside of the box.

The straighteners themselves look very sleek and were easy to handle. The cable is 3 meters long, so I can easily plug them in the bedroom socket and straighten my hair in the bathroom. The cable can also freely rotate / revolve, so there is no worry about getting your hand tangled up in the cable as you’re straightening your hair.

There was even a little locking mechanism, which I guess is more for keeping them closed, making them easier to store away and stop the ironing plates from getting damaged.

My Hair Habbits

I wash, blow dry and straighten my hair daily. My hair has got a slight wave to it and since having it cut to a shorter style, it flicks out. Of course, this is not a hairstyle I want to go out with, so having hair straighteners that can iron out the kinks but keep my hair in good condition is important to me.

How to Use

It is recommended that these hair straighteners are used on clean, dry hair and that the hair is free of hair styling products.

So once I’ve washed, brushed and blow dried my hair, I apply heat serum and then straighten my hair.

These hair straighteners were so easy and simple to use. Simply push the power switch button from side-to-side to turn on and off and use the + and – keys to select the ambient temperature.

Once the straighteners have reached the desired temperature, the flashing red light on top will stop flashing. Then you just simply straighten your hair.

Downside

There was just one downside to these straighteners. They kept pulling my hair. Looking at the design and comparing them to my current hair straighteners, I could see how this was happening.

There is a plastic bit that sticks out on the inside of the centre of the straighteners. I assume this is to stop the plates from clashing too hard together, but unfortunately, if your hair goes too far in this plastic bit catches and pulls your hair as you clamp down!

Final Thoughts

I really do love these hair straighteners. I have used them every day for about 1 week now, and every time, my hair is left feeling smooth and silky.

The Bellissima Italia Creative Infrared Straighteners look stylish, you can select the temperature that is right for you, they heat up really quick and are effortless to use – you only need to go over sections of hair once, not multiple times.

But unfortunately, the hair pulling lets these straighteners down. If the plastic bit on these straighteners could be removed, then these are the best hair straighteners I have ever used!
